My Experience
I worked with Cruse Bereavement service for a year, gaining their quality training and dealing with varied
clients suffering from grief, giving me a great understanding to help clients. I also helped clients that were in prison, and families of those who were in prison, loss comes in many forms and I gained invaluable experience from working with Cruse.
I volunteered with Talk Wandsworth for the NHS for two years, I worked with clients from diverse social and economic backgrounds and in a multicultural community. I worked with clients suffering with depression, grief, anxiety, autism, sexuality issues, trauma and suicidal ideation. Challenging and rewarding work which I will no doubt go back to in the future.
I currently volunteer for a charity that works with adult survivors of childhood sexual and physical abuse, working with trauma and PTSD. It is an honour that people let me into their lives and share with me some of their most painful wounds.
