How to Start Counselling
How to start counselling with me
Step 1
Step 2
If we agree to work together after the initial session, I recommend that we have a review around session 6. This enables us to reflect on how you have found the process, what works what doesn't in going forward, if you decide to continue.
I offer a free of charge 20-minute phone or video call to give you an idea of what to expect if you choose to work with me and to help you decide if I am the one to embark your counselling journey with. This gives us the opportunity to discuss what has brought you to counselling and what you expect to get from it, enabling you to make an informed decision.
Meet Holly
Holly Jones
Due to the varied and colourful life that I have led, and after having therapy of my own over the years I realised that I can use my experiences from the past and turn them into something positive. I have strong empathy for others, and I create a safe and secure space to speak openly about whatever comes to mind.
There is no judgement when you are with me,
I am here to help you on a journey
to make peace with what is troubling you.

How It Works
Therapy Mode
Online open-ended or time-limited counselling, depending on your needs.
How do I know if I need counselling?
If you are thinking about counselling, the first step is to contact me so we can discuss working together. People can attend counselling for a wide range of reasons, ranging from complex trauma to wanting a deeper understanding of themselves.
What type of therapy is best for me?
There are many different types of therapy, and depending on what each client brings I use my experiences to decide on the best approach, this could be person-centred, psychodynamic, CBT, or a mixture of therapies to gain the most from our sessions together.
How do I book a session?
If you would like to contact me about general counselling questions you can do this by using the get in touch button at the bottom of this page, alternatively you can call me directly.
I offer a free 20-minute Zoom chat to answer any questions you may have before making a decision to go ahead with counselling sessions with me.
How much does counselling cost?
I charge £65 per session; I also have limited concessionary slots for those on a low-income or are a student of £50 per session.
Please ask for further details.
